Education
Nampa offers its residents excellent educational opportunities from preschool through advanced degrees. Public school education is provided through both the Nampa Public School District and Vallivue Schools. Nampa is committed to preserving neighborhood schools with equity of facilities and opportunities.
| Nampa is the home of Northwest Nazarene University, a four-year Christian liberal arts university established in 1913. NNU serves an average student population of 1440. |

| The Canyon County Campus of Boise State University opened a five-acre facility in Nampa in 1985 to provide vocational training, adult basic education and lower division academic classes. |

In 1996 an extensive remodel was completed providing 77,000 square feet of classrooms and labs including a distance learning network which is connected to area high schools.
In summer, 2005, Boise State opened its first academic building at the new BSU West, a 150-acre site in Canyon County earmarked for significant expansion and enhanced academic opportunities.
In addition to its two Canyon County sites, Boise State operates centers at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Gowen Field and Twin Falls. |
