Incorporated in 1974, Witco is a mission driven, not-for-profit organization created to meet the needs of people with disabilities
Witco was the first comprehensive community rehabilitation program in the Treasure Valley. Comprehensive in this context refers to both the broad spectrum of disability groups served as well as the vast array of services offered. Witco has played a major advocacy role in both the passage of federal law giving children with disabilities legal access to public education and the passage of the ADA granting legal rights to all people with disabilities. Witco continues to be recognized as a powerful vocal advocate representing people with disabilities on a local, state and federal level. Witco covers a ten county area and serves up to 600 people each year.
Program sites are located in Caldwell. Nampa, Boise, Nampa, Fruitland, Mountain Home and Ontario. Outreach and community based services are provided in surrounding towns and communities. Witco has received the gold standard CARF accreditation for over 40 years. It is the only fully CARF accredited comprehensive community rehabilitation program in the Treasure Valley.
